These protein-packed lettuce cups are made with ground turkey simmered in a sweet and spicy sauce made with garlic, ginger, lime juice and YOWZERS red chili peppers. They're crunchy, tangy and naturally low carb.

Instructions
In a deep skillet, heat avocado oil over medium-high heat. Add garlic, ginger and YOWZERS red chili peppers and heat until fragrant, about 30 seconds. Stir in the ground turkey and use a wooden spoon or potato masher to gently break into bite-sized pieces. Sprinkle with a pinch of salt and pepper and heat until turkey is cooked through, about 7-9 minutes.
Add carrots to the pan and stir again. Let cook 2-3 additional minutes or until carrots are tender.
In a small bowl, whisk together the sauce then pour into the pan. Bring to a boil then reduce to low and simmer for 10 minutes. Serve in lettuce cups and garnish with optional toppings to serve.
Notes
To keep the dish a bit more mild, halve and seed the chili peppers before mincing.
