These pulled pork sliders with cabbage slaw are made with a boneless shoulder slowly cooked until fork tender and juicy, served on slider rolls with a crunchy cabbage and herb slaw. The ideal make-ahead meal for serving a crowd or easy weeknight dinner recipe.

As a busy mom of two growing boys (I have a teenager now everyone), I love slow cooker meals, especially my slow cooker pulled pork. They make planning ahead so much easier, and I don’t have to rush to get dinner on the table if I have just a little bit of forethought to start it that morning or even the night before! I made these Pulled Pork Sliders with Cabbage Slaw with my new favorite hot sauce from El Yucateco. With so many flavors and heat levels to choose from, they’ve got a hot sauce for everyone!
Why You’ll Love these Pulled Pork Sliders with Cabbage Slaw
- It’s made in the slow cooker, so you can set it and forget it!
- It stores easily in the fridge and freezer, so you can make it months in advance.
- Depending on the hot sauce you use, you can easily control the flavor to meet anyone’s preference.
Why Use El Yucateco Hot Sauce

- Not only do they have over 13 flavors to choose from, they are the #1 Habanero hot sauce in the United States!
- While the Caribbean habanero hot sauce is my favorite, if you like a milder flavor, they also have sauces made from jalapeño and chipotle peppers. Some of their sauces even border on sweet! They really know how to pack in loads of different flavors.
- You can find it in your local grocery stores or buy it online!
Ingredients

- Pork shoulder: Flavorful and cooks down to be tender.
- Onion: I like to use a milder, sweet onion in with the pulled pork, and a bright red onion in the slaw.
- Spices: Garlic powder, onion powder, brown sugar, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper all add flavor to the pulled pork.
- Beer: I love how adding beer makes the pork more tender, but you can use chicken stock as well.
- El Yucateco hot sauce: I love to use their Caribbean habanero hot sauce, but El Yucateco has 13 different hot sauce flavors to choose from, including 6 new flavors released just last year!
- Cabbage: I like to use a mix of red and green cabbage in my slaw.
- Cilantro: Adds a bit of a fresh, herby taste to the slaw. You can use parsley if you don’t like cilantro.
- Honey: Adds a bit of sweetness to balance out the hot sauce.
- Olive oil: Helps to dress the slaw.
- Lime juice: A bit of sharp acidity breaks through some of the heat and other flavors.
- Rolls: Use your favorite roll or bun to make your sandwich.
