Why You’ll Love these Chocolate Banana Overnight Oats
- Can be made ahead for easy mornings!
- Delicious and healthy for adults and kids alike.
- One batch can last you all week.
- Naturally gluten-free, vegetarian, and can easily be made vegan as well!
Ingredients

- Milk: I typically use low-fat milk, but you can use almond milk or any non-dairy milk really.
- Chocolate milk: I really like to pack the chocolate flavor by using TruMoo chocolate milk in addition to regular milk.
- Banana: Naturally sweet and full of vitamins, the banana adds a creamy texture to the oats as well.
- Cocoa powder: Full of antioxidants and strong chocolate taste.
- Vanilla extract: A natural flavor enhancer.
- Nutmeg: Adds a depth of flavor and a little bit of warmth to the oats.
- Oats: I prefer to use old fashioned oats, but rolled oats will work as well.
- Flax seed meal: Basically flavorless, but it adds important omega 3s.
Easy Substitutions
- Make it sweeter. While I think the banana acts great as a natural sweetener, you could always add a bit of honey or maple syrup to make it sweeter.
- Change the add-ins. While I love the benefits from flax seed, you can add chia seeds or protein powder, too.
