1.Preheat oven to 200°C (180°C fan-forced). Grease 12-hole (½-cup/125ml) oval friand pan.
2.Process nuts until ground finely.
3.Stir coffee and the water in small jug until dissolved.
4.Whisk egg whites in medium bowl until frothy. Stir in butter, sifted icing sugar and flour, nuts and coffee mixture. Spoon mixture into pan holes, top each with two coffee beans.
5.Bake friands about 20 minutes. Stand friands in pan 5 minutes, turn, top-side up, onto wire rack to cool. Serve dusted with a little sifted icing sugar.
