This year, we welcomed the amazing Julie Goodwin back as a monthly columnist with her series of family favourite recipes. Her dinners are on regular rotation in my house, and it seems in many of yours, as well.
But it is her lemon coconut slice that’s the most popular of all the new recipes we’ve published so far this year. It’s one of those quick and easy desserts that’s great to have up your sleeve during a busy period. It’s versatile and a real crowd pleaser.
If you love Julie’s new recipes, visit the Women’s Weekly Food YouTube channel to watch her make them all. She shares some great tips in her videos.
Other dinner recipes my family loves, and which I am not surprised to see on this list, are Jessica Brook’s Greek-style lemon chicken rice and the one pan burrito bake. The leftovers make great work lunches the next day. Next up on my list of dinners to try with the kids is the apricot chicken tray bake.
Of our classic recipes, Anzac biscuits are popular throughout the year, not just in April. Plus the perennial favourite, zucchini slice. Another quick and easy dish that’s easy on the wallet, too.
Take a look through the list below and see if your favourites are on the list. Or find dinner inspiration for the months ahead.
