If you’ve followed me for a while, you probably realize my diet has no shortage of fruits and vegetables (it is how I was able to lose 60 pounds). But, I thought it would be fun to try making my own version of green juice! This Kale, Pear, and Peach Green Juice would be great for breakfast or an afternoon snack.

Obviously this works extremely well with a juicer, but you don’t need a juicer when you have a high speed blender! Feel free to experiment and mix/match the ingredients as well.

Ingredients

Labeled ingredients for kale, pear, and peach green juice.
  • Kale: While kale can taste a bit bitter, you won’t even notice it in this juice due to the sweet fruits it’s paired with. You’ll still get all of the great nutrients and antioxidants though!
  • Peach: Fresh, frozen, or canned peaches can work well for this juice. Naturally sweet and juicy, I love to use fresh peaches whenever I can.
  • Cantaloupe: Slightly floral and sweet in flavor, without being overwhelming, and full of vitamins.
  • Pear: Very juicy, mildly sweet, and with varying flavor notes depending on the kind of pear you use. I usually use bartlett pears.

Easy Substitutions

  • Instead of the kale, you can use spinach or any other leafy greens.
  • Try swapping out the fruits used, and throw in pineapple, berries, or apples.
  • If you like citrus, instead of lemon juice you can add lime juice, grapefruit, or orange.

How to Make Kale, Pear, and Peach Green Juice

Chopping kale on a cutting board.

Step 1. Start by washing and chopping all of your produce.

Fruit and vegetables piled high in a blender.

Step 2. Next add all ingredients to a high powered blender and blend until smooth. Alternatively you can use a juicer, but I like to keep the nutritious pulp.

Kale, pear, and peach green juice in a mason jar glass.

If you prefer it to be more like a smoothie than a juice, just add more ice to thicken. Pour into glasses, and enjoy your Kale, Pear, and Peach Green Juice!

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s a good substitute for kale?

Kale can be substituted with any dark, leafy green such as swiss chard or spinach. The pear can be swapped with a granny smith apple. A peach can be swapped with a nectarine.

Can kale be juiced raw?

Yes! There is no reason to cook or blanch the kale before juicing or blending.

Why is juicing not healthy?

Juicing is still healthy, but not as healthy as a smoothie. The issue is you lose many of the nutrients by only drinking the juice and not consuming any of the skin or pulp. Since smoothies keep the skin and flesh of the fruit or vegetable, they are considered healthier.

In this the fruit and vegetables are first ground
and then the juice is forwarded with the help of a strainer which revolves at a very high rpm.
It comes with several features such as the following:.
Families probably want to consider a larger juicer.
