These juicy Greek lamb burgers are topped with a cool and creamy tzatziki sauce. Perfect for summer entertaining!

It’s not every day I crave a juicy burger but when I do, I like to go big or go home. Whether it’s a turkey burger with pesto and mozzarella, a filet burger with tahini mayo, or this juicy Greek Lamb Burger with Tzatziki Sauce, one thing is for sure: summer eating is the best eating!
Of course, the star of this burger show is really the Greek tzatziki sauce. Cool, creamy yogurt mixed with cucumbers, dill, lemon, and yogurt, it is delicious on anything from grilled salmon to pork to anything in between!
Ingredients

- Lamb: Tastes a little bit gamey compared to ground beef, but is still tender and delicious.
- Tzatziki: A tangy, bright cucumber yogurt sauce from Greece.
- Buns: Use your favorite bun, but I like to keep them plain and simple so the Greek flavors can shine.
- Fresh herbs: Parsley, dill, and garlic all add fresh, bright flavor.
How to Make Lamb Burgers with Tzatziki Sauce

Step 1. Start by taking your ground lamb and mixing it in a bowl with the dill, parsley, garlic, and chili flakes. Mix with your hands for the best results.

Step 2. Form the ground lamb mixture into burger patties and season with salt.

Step 3. On your pre-heated grill, add lamb patties and cook for about 4 minutes a side over high heat. Remove and let rest.

Step 4. While burgers are resting, you can make your tzatziki sauce or prepare the rest of your toppings.

Step 5. Assemble your burger with your favorite toppings. For these lamb burgers, I did lettuce, red onion tomato, and banana pepper.

Step 6. Top each with a generous dollop of tzatziki sauce.

Serve and enjoy your Greek Lamb Burgers with Tzatziki Sauce!

Frequently Asked Questions
The best sauce I’d say is a tzatziki sauce, but you could also do a mint-yogurt sauce or a spicy harissa to keep things Middle-Eastern.
Lamb is very commonly paired with a mint sauce, but it also tastes great with other herbs like rosemary and thyme, or with citrus flavors like lemon and orange.
You can pair classic sides with Lamb burgers, but given a Mediterranean twist to match the flavor profiles. Try it with my grilled rosemary sweet potato fries or a pasta salad with toasted pine nuts.
