There are many things I love and admire about my beautiful mother, but I am especially grateful that she taught me the art of making homemade salad dressing. The truth is, we never had bottled salad dressing in the fridge growing up. She always made it from scratch with just a handful of simple ingredients. Homemade healthy blue cheese dressing, honey mustard vinaigrette, and this delicious and easy 5-Ingredient Dill Ranch Dressing.

To this day, I make my own salad dressing every night just like my mommy did. Really, it’s all I know and it couldn’t be any easier. Be sure to make a double batch and keep extras on hand for healthy eating all week long.

Why You’ll Love This Dressing

  • Uses only 5 simple ingredients, many that you most likely already have!
  • Takes no time at all, and can be done in around 5 minutes.
  • Fresh and simple, it tastes great on salads, veggies, and grilled meat and seafood.

Ingredients

  • Dill: Fresh dill adds the classic tangy flavor of ranch dressing.
  • Lemon juice: A bit of acid and bright citrus flavor.
  • Garlic: Nutty, pungent, and aromatic.

Hi there, thanks so much for this recipe — it sounds perfect! Just wondering about the yogurt – I usually only have Activia on hand, would that affect the quality of this dressing? Thanks so much for your great recipes!

It’s funny, I’m mostly a vinaigrette person but when I crave a creamy dressing I CRAVE a creamy dressing. Yogurt is such a great way to lighten them up. This looks SO good!
